Canik55 Stingray-C Holster?
« on: March 01, 2014, 02:37:15 PM »
I just picked up a Stingray-C yesterday.  Anyway, I have been looking all over the net for a proper holster for it.  Does anyone know for sure what holster will fit this pistol?

Thanks, Paul

I am using a Galco kydex paddle holster for a PO1 which works perfect.

I looked at the Galco M5X MATRIX holster and it reminds me of a Fobus holster, which feel flimsy and cheap.  How sturdy is the Galco holster?  I have spent several hours looking for holsters for the Stingray-C and it would appear that the only one that fits well for it is the Galco one.  The Galco holster has a relief on the right side of the holster that allows the right slide stop/release to slide in without trouble, or so it appears.  The other holsters that I found for the P-01 does not have that right side relief that is necessary for a good holster fit for the Stingray-C.

Along with being a gunsmith of sorts I also dabble in leather work.  I might make an Avenger style holster for the Stingray-C.

The open top Tagua pancake holster for the H&K USP 9 should fit it nicely, once worn into it.

Hi Paul,
I have the M5X.
I am not an expert, as I only have a few holsters.
That being said I have been carrying with this holster for a week and it feels solid and surprisingly comfortable.

I decided to order the MX5 holster.  I'll see how it works out.  If not, I'll make a holster for it.
