CZ Custom Shop CZ 75 Compact L
« on: March 13, 2014, 10:56:33 PM »

My new CZ Custom Shop CZ 75 Compact L with Manual Safety.  Shot 150 rounds today...Outstanding!!  Love this pistol. This is the most I have ever spent for a pistol, but I am completely satisfied, can't decide if I should get the black grips or not!

Soltan- the trigger was extremely sweet, by far the best I have shot, 150 rounds without issue, one of my favorite pistols without question!

How does a custom compare to CZ tunned by CZ Customs or Cajun Gun Works?  Is it the same?  What are the main differences?

I had a P-01 Customized by CGW and have a 75D Compact-L from CZ Custom Shop and the Custom Shop has the Edge over the CGW.
Don't want to get into details but I replaced the P-01 after 5000 rounds and going through to many of a certain spring.
My next gun is on order now and coming from Stuart @ CZ Custom Shop.
Worth the little extra time for the build.
Correction
Gun was built in 4 day's
Stuart you are the man ..  ;D

Looks like the first post has a different hammer?  I thought they all had the comp hammer?  I just ordered one from Rob and Stuart and am really hoping it has the comp hammer since I also fit the tactical rear sight which didn't leave much room for a thumb on the hammer.

I asked Stuart about this recently, you will be getting the comp hammer as I understand it.

My custom shop Compact L has that same ring hammer, though it is called a comp hammer in the description of the gun.  If you were told by Stuart that it would have the comp hammer (race hammer?), then I suspect that is what you will get.  I am unclear about this discrepancy though - I too wondered whether I really got the hammer I should have.

There are three versions of the gun out there.
two were distributed through CZ-USA.

builds on those:
91727
Shadow hammer fitted to Comp L
15# hammer spring
SS guide rod
tritium night sights
cocobolo wood grips.

91728
Shadow hammer fitted to Comp L
15# hammer spring
SS guide rod
tritium night sights
black al  grips.

then we build one available through CZ Custom
91724
Comp hammer
13# hammer
ext. firing pin
SS guide rod
tritium night sights
rubber grips

hope that clears it up a little.

Just picked up my Second CZC 75 Comp-L from Stuart  CZC #91724
My wife got so excited with her results after shooting the first one It became her's.
Figured that would keep her Extra excited about going to the range.  ( I'm no Dummy )
Thanks again Stuart for that excellent personal touch and results for us.

I added the machined Shadow hammer to a 75B (the Shadow hammer is to thick to fit the frame slot), and got great improvements in the trigger break.  the comp hammer on my 75 Shadow also gives a great trigger.
Being two different guns,  one with the FP interrupt and one without,  it's not possible to say which hammer is "best".   Others have said the CZC Comp gives slightly less camming back and creep.  Both are very good triggers,  and show immediate improvements over the stock ring hammer.
