You have this one listed already.    But I get the measurement a tad shorter.

BBI Coated
147 FP  .665   ES was .004" for 10 Bullets.    I think the mold for these is the same as the Blue Bullet 147s.    Push test in my CZ85 differed by .002"

Blue Bullet Coated
125 RN    .606"
147 FP     .665"

These had more bullet to bullet variation than I've seen before.   RN were .600 to .612.   FP were .662 to .670.   Nothing else I've checked had more than a .004" ES for 10 bullets.

Most likely due to the powdercoating on the bullet.  It doesn't get applied evenly every time.  IDescribe and I discussed this issue before with other types of coated bullets.

The bullet diameter should all be consistent, since they are sized after coating.

Precision Coated (Both with no lube groove)
147 FP  .665
125 FP  .575

Both have a slight hollow back.

I'm buying as many different coated bullets as I can.   Here's some data I've compiled.   Push test is in my CZ85.   I won't use the Precision 147s as I have to load them too deep

Painter,  I'll post any bullet lengths of interest to the forum members;  but I'm not smart about loading lead.  I suspect diameters and composition play a roll in determining seating depth.  I really DON't know if comparing lengths of an assortment of various brands, weights and diameters of lead bullets benefit our lead reloaders.  If it does,  I'll post them.   All I'm going to post is bullet length info..

I personally, am unlikely to be loading anything but jacketted and plated.  You "fully leaded, high octane" guys can choose yea or nay.  ;)

The same thing applies to lead as jacketed. I say post it up.

Brand new bullet.   Just out from SNS.

SNS Coated
125 RN  .583

Bullets had an ES of .005".   A little better than I've been seeing.   Push test was 1.1.   Most were a little over 1.11.   But one was 1.096 so I will load these at 1.085.

OK, so if this Excel sheet is ready to go we should post it as a sticky. Maybe the easy way is to post it as a PDF for printing.

Comments ?  Ideas ?

LIKE.
A comment that the OALs and seating depths listed are "examples"  might be a good idea.
