My new C-100!
« on: March 22, 2014, 08:12:22 PM »
I fired 68 rounds total (50 lead reloads and 18 rounds of Rem. ball).  There were no stoppages or problems of any kind.  The pistol shoots about 1/2? high at 7 yards.  Both the reloads and factory ball shot to the same point of aim.  I had been browsing the net and had found that, at least with some shooters, some of these pistols shot really low.  I happy to say that wasn't the case with my pistol.  I also did a mags worth of fast double taps.  I could keep two rounds centered within five inches of each other.

I would have fired more rounds, but I was pressed for time.  My main reason to go to the range today was to check function and point of aim.

Oh, the recoil is very easy and the pistol is very controllable.

So far so good!

Thanks, Paul

That is great news to hear Paul!  I have a new silver model C-100 too and got to break it in some.  106 rounds and no feed or eject problems at all.  This one runs well and pleased me with the light recoil.  Working on grip hold because I was pulling left a few inches, range - 25 feet.  Getting used to the feel of the grip.  Sorry, no picture yet.

Right hand shooters will sometimes shoot low and to the left.  It isn't so much the grip, but rather your trigger control.  In layman?s terms, you may be jerking the trigger prior to the shot.

Terry, it will be good to do some shooting with you.  Can you do me a favor?  Can you bring your CZ Compact grips so I can try them on my C-100?

Thanks, Paul

Absolutely, I was planning on it.
I also want to bring that proto-magazine to fit in your multiplying Canik/Tristar collection. Ha, ha.

Paul,  Thank you for the tip!  Makes sense, I am used to a 1911 with a light trigger pull and of course longer/heavier weight out front.

These C100's are very nice!
I really like the size and weight, very nice carry gun.

Shot Paul's today, I am envious, not just of his collection but of his shooting skill as well.
It's sad when a friend outshoots you with your own gun.

OK, time for me to get back out and shoot some more. Ha, ha

Also can't wait to see that new holster you are making looks like a keeper.

Terry, it was great to finally meet you today.  I really enjoyed shooting your CZ-75B SA and your RAMI.  Both are awesome pistols that have the best custom triggers I've ever had the privilege of shooting.  We?ll have to get out and shoot more often.

The IWB for the C-100 is coming along and it should be done in a day or two.  Once it?s finished I?ll post a thread on it.
