What are you using for springs in the B6P compact?  I haven't been able to find ANY replacement parts or springs for this gun.  I know its basically identical to some of the other CZ clones but wasn't sure what would work.

It will be nice to hear it from someone else who has tried working on them what parts/sprigs will work in this thing?

The B6P compact is a steal, I've been very impressed with it and carry it every day...

Thanks!

This morning I actually finished the Sar B6P compact with the exception of the rear sight That won't arrive till later thsi week. So for now the rear tactical night sight is installed so i can do some range testing on Weds. morning. I modified the internals to achieve a 4.1 lb single action pull with about an 8 lb double action . We will take some pics of the completed pistol and put up all the pics. I usually don't complete projects before I get the intial pics up. I am dying to shoot this one.

Pics of the Sar K2 front sight installs and the finished B6P compact. I will be test firing the compact first thing tomorrow morning before I open up the shop.

Shooting session went very well this morning . I shot the B6P compact against my custom shark compact for comparison. The shark compact has a trigger that is as good if not better that some of my Cz custom pistols. The B6P compact showed a great improvement in group size over its stock configuration. The last group that I shot at 7 yards standing two hands modified weaver combat stance all landed in the three inch orange dot shooting as fast as I could re-acquire my sights back on the dot. I did have some issues sighting due to the rear sight being a night sight I don't like three dot setups, but as my eye got used to the sight picture my groups kept getting better with the final group all landing on the dot.
I modified the hammer to reduce it's weight, then I polished the firing pin block lifter and lightened the spring tension on that as well. Then I modified the the guide spring which tensions the trigger bar. Next I reduced the mainspring tension. I have a thirteen pound mainspring coming later this week which should lighten my trigger pull in single action from the current 4.1 lbs to hopefully about 3 lbs. I won't know about that until I have it installed. Last I modified the firing pin spring. I may modify it some more after I get the new mainspring.
Function and reliability were perfect this morning through 150 rounds of test firing on two targets. Over the next two weeks I should have the trigger work finalized, it won't be as nice as my custom shark compact because the trigger systems are not the same. It is however a huge improvement over the stock configuration.
You cannot just order springs for this pistol. I had to modify 4 springs in the pistol. I will have to seek out a manufacturer to produce springs to my specs. I can modify the springs in your pistols to and use an substitute main spring to enhance any Sar pistol. This is not something that one should do at home with out a serious back round in firearms customizing. If you cut your springs incorrectly you will end up with a pistol that does not function and right now spare parts are limited. I believe that I can get more out of this trigger and will continue experimenting till I achieve my goal which is to be able to consistently hit a 2 inch orange dot at 7 yards with ease.
I will have my son take a photo of the final test target and I will post it , last ther is one other thing that I did which as to round off the square cuts on the trigger to smooth it out.

Those sights are looking very nice. Sounds like you had a successful range trip as well.

Very very Nice!  8)  I like Fiber Optic Sights, particularly the Hi-Viz brand.  Are these adapted from sights regularly used for the Cz97 and Cz P01?

Going back to the range first thing tomorrow, I had a little time left at the end of the day so I took the the B6P compact back apart and lightened up the trigger substantially. I think that I have maxed it out, any further mods will result in light strikes or no firing at all. We are having an IDPA practice so I will put it through some runs that way as well. If that all goes well I will order some more main springs and sights and modify both of my B6 full size pistols.  Then I will shoot another test target to see what improvements have been made over today's session. This is turning out to be a great week I am going to be at the range at least 8 days this week. On Thursday I have 2 people from England going to the range to shoot Ar's - can't do that over there. I have to test fire some more on Fri. and Sat. and then Sunday I am having an IDPA practice with my sons. The only day that I did not get to the range this week was Mon.

I'd be interested in a FO sight for my K2 45 if you get to the point where the are available for customer install.  I don't want to mess with shipping a whole pistol back and forth.

I'll keep my eyes open for the announcement.

Thanks for the info on the B6PC springs.   Bummer that you can't order replacements at the moment.  The stock pull is fine for a carry gun in my opinion, but could always be better.

The stock B6P Compact trigger is definitely an improvement over my Witness P-S.  Especially the SA.

I have a 75B Omega on order so the Witness will most likely be back of the bus once that gets here!

Great work on the SAR, thanks for keeping us posted

Today I had another good shooting session with the B6P compact. against my own better judgement I tore it down again and tweaked it further last night figuring that the worts that could happen is that it would not shoot today at all. well i put 150 round through it trouble free this morning. Now My new choice target for 7 yards is a 2 inch round orange  stickon target dot. I had no trouble putting groups on those this morning at 7 yards. When we finished with that testing we shot IDPA style for the rest of the session- no issues.. When I got back to the shop I put in a call to the manufacturer of the sights that I am modifying to talk to them about making direct fit sights for the Sar K2 and B6 poly handguns.  I also spoke to them about manufacturing a front sight for the Canik Shark compact and the Shark full size pistols. In order to get them made I will have to buy a large volume of each model which would be a substantial investment on my part so what I need to know is really how many members would actually want to purchase these sights in fiber optic. I already know how many I want to buy for the shop because we want to do a line of custom Caniks and Sars to sell direct to the consumer, but those numbers are not enough to justify having them made. I would rather have them made because it would greatly speed up production .
Currently I have to modify, test fit and then refinish each sight individually so that I have a proper finished product. This ups the cost factor and means that I have to do it here. If we can have them made I can sell them over the internet direct to you and they should be able to be install the sight with minor fitting required. I already know what sight heights are required because I have done all the R&D and test firing to ensure that the point of impact and aim are one and the same. Let me know if there is solid interest in sights for the Shark series pistols and the Sar series pistols. I will be receiving a quote in several days on manufacturing these sights. To date only two pistols are being shipped in for a fiber optic front upgrade. Two pistols will not justify me spending thousands of dollars on manufacturing sights in this poor economy. Last I am working of parts upgrades for the Sar guns such as extended mag releases, complete spring kits ,triggers with over travel stops, sights of course and custom hammers. I will be experimenting on two B6 poly full size pistols and one K2. These projects will take some time and I will start another thread when we have finished the Proto type upgraded pistols. Brian, have you considered making these via 3D printing?  Since you have already developed the dimensions, it looks like it wouldn't be difficult to do.  Since the sights are small, I would think ABS plastic would be strong enough and easy to make minor adjustments.

Roger thanks for you input on the 3 d printing. If I go forward with this it will be with metal front sights , I am just not a big fan of plastic sights.

If I want to take these sights to the production stage I can. The manufacturer can do a run of 100 fronts that will fit both the Sar K2 and K2P models and another height site for the B6 and B6P compact. In addition I can have 50 sights made for Canik Shark full size and Shark compacts My investment would be about $4700.00 for both sights batches. The retail price to the consumer would run $39.00  per front sight plus shipping. The bottom line is that as of now only three others have contacted me about putting fiber optics on there Sar's. I can not justify spending $4700.00 to put these sights into production without knowing that there is enough interest in purchasing them.  About the only way I can do this is on an individual basis and custom fit sights to your pistol or if we start a pre- order. I would need 70  Sar owners and 35 canik owners to pre purchase front sights and I would commit to buy the rest for stock. That would leave me with 30 fronts for sars and 15 for sharks which would keep my risk to a minimum. Currently if you want this done to your Sar or Canik Shark. It will require that you ship your entire pistol in and I will custom fit and test fire your pistol to ensure accuracy. Brian / EFR
