I had a day like this with the Kadet when first testing the Burris Fast Fire III.  Very windy.  It's all mental.  When I relax, have nothing to loose, no preconceived notions about what I SHOULD score, and just execute, the scores are always good.  Wind, snow, seems like the worse the conditions, the more I concentrate on execution and let the shots fall without any expectations of the results.  This happens at 100 yards with the P-09 in the wind or the snow and at 25 yards with the 22s in bullseye.

Thanks, gentlemen.  The mental aspect of shooting bullseye is fascinating to me.  If one tries too hard, as on a perfect day with zero wind, "expecting" to shoot well since there were no obvious reasons for doing otherwise, I find I don't shoot as well as I can when I just work on executing the fundamentals with little concern over the actual score. 

Today, I went to the range and got to practice in "perfect" conditions--not too hot, not too cold, overcast, nearly calm.  I shot the P-09 first, then the Ruger 22/45.  I tried to relax, since the testing of the P-09 went quite well and I had accomplished what I went to the range to do.  Shooting the 22/45 was a bonus. 

Here is the video.  I am "not sure how I did this"  either, but I'll take it...

And I did shoot the P-09 on Friday also.  One shot off of a hundred with the plastic bullseye gun.  Can't wait until the next match...
