Are the clones just as Nice?

I'm in the market of buying done guns right now and wad wondering if the compact versions of the CZ 75 clones would be as nice?

Are they reliable, would you depends on them for home defense?

My experience with CZ is not vast, so my opinion is based on a small selection of CZ's that I've owned or fired. They include a P-07 duty, 75B, SP-01, and Phantom. I owned the P-07 duty and the 75B. I recently bought a Canik 55 Stingray-C which is a CZ 75 compact copy (more p-01 I guess). I find that there is little to no machining marks (one minor below the sight above the hammer channel) and the fit/finish is excellent. I like that it is not an alloy, but all steel frame and slide. The barrel does have free-bore which is the norm for the Turkish firearms I suppose. Shoots accurate and it's trigger is just as good as the CZs I've fired, minus the P-07. The Omega trigger in them is simply amazing. The Canik ejects and extracts well, shoots accurate, mags drop free, locks back on empty, etc. It's dead nuts reliable......so to answer your question:

Most the clones are highly reliable. One just needs to read through this forum to find that out. Sure they will be an odd duck once in a while just like anything mechanical.

By the by; the Witness Compact mags fit the B6P. With a small bit of sanding on the top of the base plate they fit even better and shorten up the grip a bit for better concealment if that is your goal.

The Canik 55 are fantastic pistols for the money as well. Well made and nice looking. If it's a .45 you want; check out the Sar K2-45.

I have and I do.  Currently, my SAR K2P 9mm is my EDC.

In the past, I have carried my Tanfoglio Compact TA90 9mm or my Full Size .45 Witness.

In my opinion the K2P is the best value for carry and home defense, add a couple of Mecgra 19 round CZ 75 mags and you have a 9 mm with a twenty round capacity , a very effective pistol out to 25 yards with a reasonable cost factor. Brian/ EFR

Same here, mine runs great. The double action pull is heavy but single action breaks cleanly and has less take up than my cz75 compact.

All I can compare my CZs to is the Canik L-120 and it is very nice. A large frame alloy is something CZ should have offered years ago.

When I bought my first CZ it was in the same price point as the new clone lines now. These are great guns priced low in the market because no one knows what they are VS  a Sig or Glock or CZ. They aren't priced low because they are made cheaply. When you buy a CZ now you are paying extra for the name, the reputation, the customer service/parts/aftermarket network, not because they are better.

It reminds me of the HS2000. The Croatian manufacturer imported these but couldn't give them away. Springfield Armory licensed it, renamed it, spent a ton on advertising/promotion, offered deep PD discounts, setup a service/parts network and BOOM the XD-line is the next PlasticwonderNine.

If you want a full size, get a Tristar L120, compact get a C100.
I promise you wont regret it. Ton of gun for the money!

I've not shot a 'real' CZ, so I cant say if the K2P I own is "just as nice", however, I can tell you that the K2P is -bleep- nice.

Its my EDC, I use a foxx holster for a sig 2022, carry IWB, and have had no problems.  I use the mec-gar 19rnd CZ mags, they work without flaw.
All in all, were I asked if I would buy a K2P again (Or the b6b [or is it p?] for that matter), my reply would be "Yes."
In fact, I may pick up another, in the future, to leave at home, with a light attached, and keep the other for carry.

I have the TriStar L-120.
Bought it for the lighter alloy frame as a truck gun with the possibility of EDC.
Fit and finish is miles above its price point and the accuracy/reliability is excellent.
The grips were uncomfortable with the bold edges and flat profile so I made a TriStar model of Lava Grips similar to the CZ-75 grips I offer to replace them.
I'd say the trigger is tolerable but I'm a trigger critic and expect way too much of most factory triggers.
Wouldn't be surprised to see the prices of these Turkish guns go up in the near future. Great Guns.

If the question is: "Are ALL of the clones just as nice?," then the answer is no. 

Some are worse, like early Tanfoglios.  Some like the Swiss-made Sphinx are much better in terms of fit and finish than Ceska Zbrojovka pistols of the same vintage (even though they are semi-custom pistols built from early Tanfoglios!)  We're talking about many different models produced by many different manufacturers over several decades.  IIRC, there is even a Chinese knock-off of the 75 series, but I'm not sure if any were actually imported into the U.S. 

This really isn't my area of expertise, because I prefer the CZs overall.  That said, a lot of shooters that I respect have had good experiences with these pistols, particularly the Magnum Research, Sphinx, and ATM imports. 

I'm even less familiar with the newer clones, FWIW.

I am probably the member here that has the most experience with the newer clones those being the Caniks and Sars and Armalites . The pistols coming out of Turkey are very well made using all modern manufacturing techniques in modern factories. I too would say that they are not as good as the Cz, however they are dam close.
  This past Sunday at or weekly IDPA practice my apprentice Devon who is just 17 years old was shooting two shot strings on IDPA targets in the A zone on the head and chest that were unbelievable. We were able to cover most of them with a dime or a nickle. targets were at 7 to 10 yards on average. He was using an unmodified Sar B6 poly full size with stock sights. He has been shooting this pistol for a little over a year now and has it broken in completely. We have a group of shooters with a lot of experience  mostly aged from 35 to 55  and this young man is kicling our butts with $275.00 Sar B6 poly. His times are getting better all the time and his group shooting is just outstanding. Last year he started as a novice and moved up to marksman in 4 matches. By the end of this year I would expect that he achieves expert in stock service pistol if he continues to shoot this pistol. He wants to switch to a Sar K2 45 ACP now which he also shoots pretty dam well.
  Over the last 2 years i have put a lot of trigger time on Sars and Canik and Tisas 1911's , they are just dam good pistols that's the plain and simple of it.
