Of course. I just thought it was interesting that the safety and slide lever area had more wear than the slide rails.

Don't screw with model paint (various reasons).  If it really bothers you send the pistol back.  If the paint flaked off it was most likely due to a paint prep issue.  If CIA addresses this issue they will need to send you a new gun.  CIA will not repaint the gun it will need to come from the factory if repainted.

How small is the spot?  Did it flake off or was it from an impact?  If it's from an impact it may complicate CIA doing anything about the issue.

If they send me a new gun, will it have to go through the FFL process again?

You know what's ironic? What this guy points out at 3:40 is right near where my "blemish" is.

Yes, just like ordering a new gun.

No sir, you will not need an FFL for the new gun they send you. You will have to establish a consumer waiver account which proves your identity and age. This allow Century Arms to send you your original pistol repaired or a replacement directly to you as a non-FFL. Just like if you used warranty at Glock and they sent a replacement. It would come right back to your door, even if it was a completely different gun with a completely different SN. I know this because I've used warranty for firearms in the past and almost sent in my Stingray for the barrel before knowing my barrel's freebore was normal. I had gone through the set-up process with CIA and they explained all that to me. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the info @Genin. Didn't know this. I hope I won't go through this once I get mine. Also ordered same gun from same store as Roger.

Just don't try and drop the slide on an empty chamber like the guy did in the video.

By the way, Genin is correct.  No FFL needed for a new gun sent to you under warranty.

Thanks Genin. This sounds vaguely familiar as if someone had said this in another forum a long time ago. I wasn't sure though. Thanks for clarifying. Will they email me a shipping label to cover the shipping cost to them?

You're right Dexter. I thought it was common knowledge among us firearms enthusiasts not to do that. In fact, I don't even dry fire external hammered pistols without snap caps. I know there's some disagreement out there if even necessary. But hey, how about that? This guy has the same "blemish issue" in roughly the same exact location as my new Stingray-C. Weird?

Yep, dry firing the CZ type pistols without a snap cap can damage/brake the firing pin roll pin.

Yes, they told me they were going to e-mail a shipping label.
