CGW 2014 CZ 97B "E" Glossy Blue
« on: April 30, 2014, 09:23:18 PM »
Got my new Glossy Blue CZ 97B "E" from David yesterday.  Truly a world class beauty, I can't take a picture that does it justice.  It has a fabulous 3 lb. 9 oz. SA and 6 lb. 14 oz. DA trigger pull that you really do have to feel to believe.

Mine will never see a factory round.  I put 150 Lyman 452630 (200 gr. SWC) and 150 Lyman 452374 (230 gr, RN) both over Promo 4.5 gr. through it today with totally flawless function.  Accuracy is superb, it certainly shoots better than I can hold.  A real joy to shoot.  I was pleasantly surprised with the "drop-free" mag feature and I like the blued finish better than the polycoat on my 75B

Hats off the David's craftsmanship, it was a pleasure to deal with him.

The CGW BEs are spectacular.  I love mine but don't shoot it enough.

5 rounds out of my 97BE. The gun is a work of freaking art. I never thought that I would find a pistol that makes ME shoot better, but I shudder when I think what a true pistolero could do with this pistol. It is easily the MOST accurate pistol I have ever fired...and I've shot most brands of high end 1911s, Sig X models, and many in between. The 97E is heirloom material. Couldn't be happier.

Great shooting with your 97B.  I'd like to see some full sized pictures of your completed gun.  I am sending my 97B to CGW today to have that same package done.  He is also going to convert to SAO and install an LPA - TRT Adjustable rear sight on mine just like he did on my 75B .40S&W last year.   I'm sure it is going to be one of my favorite .45ACP pistols when it comes back.

Sweet! I have an ANIB 2013 CZ 97B in glossy blue.  I haven't decided if I want to keep it yet and send it to David, or sell it to someone who really wants one and go a different route.  However, the more I see their performance capabilities, the more I want to send mine to David.  I have just always liked my polymer guns and steel 1911's.
Stay safe,

I just got my 75 B back from David and couldn't be more pleased with the communication and final result. I went to the range twice the day i got it back haha. Money well spent and genuinely a good man. If you don't send it to David shoot me a message.

I didn't see it in the first post and just want to clarify the OP's 97b had the 1911 bushing mod done by David? I'll be doing the same with my glossy blue once I get it in 9 days.
