I've been using the Howard Leight R-01526 since the topic was posted and Amazon delivered them to me. I had a gift card and all I can say is it was well used, THANKS!

I have those same earmuffs.  I like the input jack that enables me to connect my iPod.  I can listen to soft music while I shoot.  Keeps me relaxed.  Well worth the money.

Well,  due to a good discount,  4th of July and more,  I just ordered Brownells  Pro  Series muffs.  The warranty is good.
Good bad or indifferent,  I'll report my findings

Chiming in to say the Howard Leight Sport Tactical do an excellent job for the price. The narrow profile helps when using a rifle.

Having said that,  I recently decided to try the Ghost Stryke hearing devices and can say that I'm finding equivalent, if not better protection (NRR 30) and the small in ear profile eliminates any jar or rifle movement. and the amplification is sufficient for normal conversation. The only downside is that the batteries should be removed for storage.

I still carry the headphones for quick grabs. But when I'm ready to shoot I'm sold on the Ghost.
