Sgt Cole, I've got an SR9C and enjoy it greatly. Handles great and doesn't feel like a double stack 9mm when compared with it's peers.

That being said, after renting them myself I am about to add an M&P9 FS and Shield to my collection. Love the ergos and, compared to traditional PPQ/Glock/Ruger blade trigger safeties, I prefer the Smitty's hinge trigger design.

Definitely will get lots of carry time but, still wont replace my P-07 as #1 however. Love the Omega trigger entirely too much!

Yeah I think I'm leaning towards the SR9c.  After reading reviews, peoples posts and talking to folks at work and that, I think this will be the route I'll take.  It's going to be a little bit though as I got to get some new tires for my vehicle and pay a couple bills off though.

For my PCR I bought a #15 Wolff Spring and am going to do my own trigger job I think following schmeky's post.  Thank God I'm mechanically inclined and I don't plan on going crazy when I work on it as it will be my first real gunsmithing project.

IMO, i think any one of the ones you list would be GTG.

what i would do is to look for a gun range that rents guns and see how you like them. Noting that maybe they will be dirty as heck but to get a feel for them, the recoil, the handling/pointing and how you like it under fire.

I have all 3 of them but i will give you some first impressions.

Glock.  Okay, but i can't shoot it well w/o a lot of concentration.   Slide release sucks.  Difficult for me to operate so i installed an aftermarket extended version. Much better.

Ruger.  Trigger sucks.  Easier to shoot for me.  don't have a lot of rounds down range so not sure how well the trigger will smooth up.

S&W.  I like mine.  the swappable grip panels are a nice touch and I'm beginning to like the concept.  Cant wait for CZ to hop aboard.    Trigger is better than the 2 out of the box.  Note that i got my Glock used, but LN condition.    Trigger can be made better.  My LGS has a couple on his wall where he has done his mojo.
