Is this a good deal on an HK P2000?
« on: June 28, 2014, 07:39:26 PM »
I was in my LGS about an hour ago and they are closing out on an HK P2000, 9mm, with 2 - 13 rd magazines, and it has 3 dot sights, but not night sights.  Its brand new, but the replacement model on this gun that they already have has night sights and comes with a total of 3 magazines, so they are closing this one out for $700.00.   Also, HK has an offer now that if you buy an HK in certain models, (and this is one) you get a free Streamlight TLR 3. It had been marked $850.00.  Is this a good deal?  Also, this would be a carry gun, so as to reliability and accuracy, how does it rate?  I did love the feel of the gun.  I have never owned an HK, but have been wanting one for a while.  I currently have 3 1911's in .45, a glock 23 in .40, and a CZ Pro tek 1, in 9mm.  I also reload in .45 and 9mm, so the gun would be shot a good bit.  SHOULD I OPEN THE DOORS AT 9:30 AM MONDAY WITH CASH IN HAND?  Thanks.....

I think it's a pretty good deal. As for carrying, the right belt and holster go a long way. It's not a big pistol but bigger than a 2000SK.
Reliability and accuracy are not a problem but like everything mechanical, things can happen.
I've had 4 HK's and every one of them was great. Use some good grease if you get it.
I can't remember what it is i'm supposed to forget.
