I removed the pin in a attempt to see if I could put it back in place myself but I do not think I can
, the spring was there but I have removed that also, I took it apart and cleaned it before firing and I did use oil.

I personally have never seen a Gas Block do that on a rifle.
Anything is possible though.
I would just go ahead and send it back for a replacement.
I'm not really sure what happened there but It's not your fault
and you deserve a differently rifle.
It's unfortunate but every once in a while someone gets a " lemon"
and it's not contained to the firearms industry.
Be as descriptive as possible, send good pictures
and tell them you want a NEW ONE.
