GRB,
You are very welcome for the pics and thank you for the kind words. I do have TruGlo TFOs on my G19 and love them! I wish they made them for CZ, I'd buy them in a heart beat.
As for your questions, I can only answer why Glock is so popular for myself. I love my Glock because it is incredibly simple. I can take apart, modify, smith, any part of that gun in a matter of minutes. It really is one of the most basic firearms out there. The aftermarket accessories are so plentiful and inexpensive that it makes modifying your gun to fit you a breeze and relatively cheap.
G19 vs CZ P-01:
Handling- The G19 and the P-01 feel the same in recoil. I find the G19 to be very soft shooting and the P-01 is a pleasure. I did take screen shots from slow motion video on my iPhone and compared the muzzle rise in recoil, here's picture examples:
G19:
P-01:
They seem about the same, with slightly less muzzle rise on the G19. I will attribute that to familiarity with the guns. I have shot the G19 for over 6k rounds and have shot maybe 300 through the CZ so with more rounds, I'd expect them to even out.
Weight-
Feels the same to me with the P-01 maybe being a hair heavier, but only a hair.
Natural Point of Aim-
CZ is a natural point and shoot firearm, Glock is NOT! I have to emphasize that because for most shooters that have shot Glock, the Glock grip angle causes your sights to be pointed high upon presentation. You have to slightly break your wrists down to get them aligned properly. With practice it is easy and becomes instinct, but it's not natural. The CZ is a pleasure and feels like an extension of my hand. I have no problem hitting the 'X' over and over again. It's very easy to aim.
Accuracy-
I shoot the CZ more accurately, even though I've shot it far-less-than the Glock, to 15 yards. After 15 yards I tend to do better with the Glock and I feel this is directly related to the sights. I shoot the Glock more accurately in fast fire strings because I am so used to riding the short reset of my Glock. The P-01 has a little longer reset and can result in trigger slapping for me. I shoot the Glock better weak hand which I also attribute to familiarity with the trigger.
Ergos-
No question. CZ wins hands down for me. There's a reason my Glock wears a grip force adapter, has a lower finger hump removed, undercut trigger guard, and stippling job. I did that to make it fit my hand to where it felt made for me. The CZ P-01 felt like it came from me from the factory, I even love the rubber grips.
Hope that helps, ask anymore questions you may have and I'll do my best to answer.
