cz compact factory test target
« on: August 09, 2014, 12:23:10 AM »
I found a factory test sheet in my compact's case (under the foam). According to the sheet it was factory tested with SB ammo, at distance of 25M (!!). The result (5-shot) group is about 3".

they test a compact at such distance?

Does your compact's (range) accuracy agree with the factory test result?

CZ tests all there pistols at 75ft/25meters.

Lots of people find there compacts to be more accurate for them than some full size pistols.

Almost any firearm you come upon will be more accurate than any human can be.

guncats,
I was surprised that my P-01 came with a 25meter test target that had about a 2" group. I was impressed. So far I have found the gun to be very accurate in my hands so I believe the target.

went to the range today to test out my new compact.

To reduce aiming error as much as possible, I took the FirePoint redot sight off my Glock35 and put it onto the compact.  ( ironically, the FirePoint is an official CZ brand with the CZ logo on it....). I then installed a little rubber pumper behind the trigger as a make-shift over-travel-stop. Works great ( I have the same thing on my HK P7).

Tested 10 commercial loads, all FMJ target/practice type, bench rested, at 25yd. From sitting position, magazine rested on the table and the frame rested on a sand bag, very steady.  5-shot Groups were in 2.5~4" range. Not bad as a "combat" pistol, but definitely not target pistol accuracy.

I had high hope on the accuracy part because it is a CZ with "full length slide/frame rail", but it turns out to be about the same as the Glock 19's I have seen.

So the cz factory test target does seem to show how accurate the gun is. If I ever get around to buy another CZ I will be sure to check the factory target and compare at least a few of them before buying  :)

As I remember, my RAMI BD (9mm) had a factory target tested at 15 meters, whereas my compacts were tested at 25 meters.
