CZ 455 Military Trainer
« on: August 09, 2014, 08:53:05 PM »
Gander Mountain had a 455 Military Trainer that arrived with light rust on the bolt. It was marked down $50.00. Sold! I have been looking for a bolt action 22/.17 MMR for quite a while. Actually went to GM to buy a Ruger 17/22 and changed my mind. I grew up shooting Anshutz and Remington .22 rifles in small bore matches. I like schnabel on the stock and the iron sites.  Should be fun to shoot if I can get it away from my wife.

Which style sights does it have on it?

Rear sight looks like it came off of a Mauser. CZ calls it "tangent rear sight (adjustable for distance)" distances, up to 250 are in meters of course. No second barrel.

Checked the trigger pull, it's set to 3 lbs. Fine with me.

My wife loves to shoot and the stock on this rifle fits her like a glove.

with that sight it sounds like a 452, the 455's have the more standard rear sight.
However CZ does mix things up from time to time.
a picture would be nice also and by the way that was a full on steal for $50! congrats!

That's the "good" sight.

Understatement, it is one of the best rear sights on any .22 of all time, only very few guns have ever worn a sight this nice!

but maybe because I have used these and others and well this sight just works.
