Lead, thanks for starting/updating this thread.
Den, thanks for the drawings and all the advise.
Joe, thanks for the great photos and great advise on springs and lube.

I just modified my ejector to match the angle and relief, as shown in the photos, as best I could. I'll be going to the range in the morning to try it out. I'm trying to get my Kadet w/ a Custom Shop Shadow to run using Aguila SV.

Thanks again for the help guys!   8)

Very good feedback from each of you. I appreciate being able to be part of this forum and read the posts of so many containing such valuable info.

My point is a simple one: A manufacturer ought not sell a product, that sometimes does not work when it is required that the purchaser make modifications, to get it to work.  Period.   I am not saying it is a "big problem".  I am not saying everyone who has a Kadet Kit that will not work unless they perform additional modifications install it onto either a modified or un-modified lower.  I recognize that many many purchasers of Kadet Kits get them to work without making any modifications.

I have 4 CZ Pistols - 2 modified and 2 have not been modified.  My brand new Kadet Kit will not work on any- unless I make modifications.

Seems I have read countless post over many years where the Kadet Kit would not work unless modifications were made.

A manufacturer ought not sell a product that requires a good number of purchasers to make modifications before it will work.

Hi guys, no luck w the ejector mod. 5 stovepipes in 110 rds. Each one stuck between the slide and the chambering rd.  here's a photo of my filed down ejector. Does it look right or are there any ideas on how to correct this?
Well, couldn't attach a photo. Not my day!!!

RJN, on the rounds that ejected properly, how far did they travel?  If they just barely made it out of the gun and fell within 3-5 feet of you, the slide may not be moving fast enough for the ejector to kick the casing out of the gun.  Mine will do that on a cold day if I have grease on the rails instead of oil, for example.  It will also do it if the ammo is weak or the if the chamber is dirty and it is hard to pull the casing out of the chamber.  Anything that results in the velocity being low when the casing hits the ejector

Another thing you need to check is the casing coming loose from under the extractor before the casing reaches the ejector.  This can happen if the casing hits the lips on the magazine.  Put a spent casing under the extractor and close the slide.  Put a magazine in the gun then slowly pull the slide back and see if the casing stays in place until it hits the ejector or hits the magazine lips and comes loose.  You need some clearance relative to the lips.  (Can anyone tell I have spent some time with a Ruger?)

If the casing falls loose when you pull the slide back, check the extractor.  Does it have some tension?  Is the casing held in place with the slide removed from the slide frame?  If not, why not?

With difficulty on only 5 rounds out of a 110, you have a small problem, some of the time.  You can find it.  May take a little close examination of the details.    Let us know what you find and we will work from there.  I'll be happy to provide comparison photos of my "worn out" gun parts.

Thanks for all the help guys! I'll get that photo posted tomorrow.
I'm using Aguila standard velocity super extra.
I use real lite oil on my slide. And lots of it.
I've cut 5 turns off the recoil spring.
The spent cases fall about 4 ft. at 3 o'clock.
I bought 2 ejectors and 1 recoil spring to work with.
I'll look into the mag reaction with the ejecting case.
Thanks, rjn
