Pcr Slide Lock Release Size and Position

I have a personal problem - the Pcr slide lock release is right where I put my left thumb, and that could cause either premature lock back or failure to lock on an empty magazine. Do I need to retrain myself to shoot "thumbs down," or is there a replacement or a mod to fix this?

A P01 slide stop will move the lever farther to the rear.

It'll fit the Pcr, I suppose? It looks shorter. Are there any drawbacks to using it?
