4 to 6 weeks. my goodness
« on: September 18, 2014, 05:17:52 PM »
Had to put my one month old pcr in shop.I was told it would be 4 to 6 weeks on return.Does cz have have that many guns going back. Maybe its just me and my not wanting to wait ways. Is this normal wait times or are they needing some new gunsmiths.

I do not know the answer but I am in your boat here. Is it your local gun store or is CZ USA?

Either way that is very poor service to ask you to wait 6 weeks on a new gun. I am under the impression customer service is important but if what you say is true, they need to hire more people because if I were faced with a similar wait I would be equally bewildered. I would not want to deal with a company that has so little regard for fixing a problem quickly.

Viking it went back because the trigger started dropping to half cocked when pulling the trigger.

Cz said the gunsmith needs to spend about a week with the gun before returning it. I guesd they want to break it in for me. I think I can build one with the no experience I have in a day.

You know ,  their "new gunsmith guys" have to be trained too! ::)
If it comes back perfect,  no harm no foul.  Hopefully that time forecast is the worst case scenario.

Sent my brushed stainless to cz-usa couple of month ago, right before they moved into a new building,my mag release was loose.Wnen the gun came back, mag release was better, but still loose. When I look closer ,I found that the screw that holds trigger bar and mag release springs was backed out almost all the way..Can you believe it,not only it wasn't tapped it also was almost all the way out. Also they are so cheap, they installed old screw with a stripped sides back in the gun.Thing is,if screw is all the way in,mag release is very loose,if it is out,it is better,so that was their way to fix it.When I called them to discuss that "issue" I was almost told that I'm lying, because their record indicates that the gun was fixed and test fired and everything was fine with it.So had to speak to one of the managers(Jone Swicegood),because the guy I talked to before, was trying to tell me that I have to send gun to them on my own.Anyways, got my return authorization, hope it will go to experienced gunsmith this time, not to some of the "new gunsmith guys" who needs training, will also send them $2,so they can install new screw.

Arrogance is not customer service, as a matter of fact if the guy who called you a liar worked for me and called a customer of ours a liar he would be flipping burgers at Carls Jr. Sorry 1SOW,  new people is not an acceptable excuse. I would expect the gun to be perfect the first time so getting back perfect better be a given. Waiting six weeks for what I should have gotten out of the box will not ease the 6 week disappointment. 6 weeks is outrageous, 6 days is barely acceptable.( I saw the rolly eye yellow thing, still not buying it)

I am pretty glad my CZ's have all worked well because I guarantee I would not accept this type of service on my guns. If I were treated like the stories described here I would be on a Sig site for sure. I will not stop buying CZ's because none of this has happened to me, but it is very disappointing to read.
