Well I just got my slide back from CGW and love my mepros. I've used meprolight sights on other guns so I knew what to expect. I really did not like the stock sights on the P-01. They were tiny but also crowded, the mepros are beefier, have much more pronounced dots, tritium, and also somehow appear to have more light around the front post (not sure how, but they do).
I think my P-01 is in it's final configuration. I plan on running it just like this for the next thousand or so rounds then getting it cerakoted if I feel it's where I want it to be. I've had chips in the polycoat, mostly on the frame, so I'm not too fond of it. I don't really feel it's all that durable, plus cerakote looks better IMO.
So far I have:
-Polished the internals via David's thread
-Swapped my mag release since I'm a lefty
-Gotten Mepros installed by CGW, a FPRP upgrade from CGW, and David sent me a ground off P-01 mainspring plug (hated the lanyard)
-Installed CGW floating trigger pin, RPTRS, and a 15#mainspring
-Stippled factory plastic compact grips
Here's some pics of the beast, which has officially taken over nightstand duty:
I love this gun. It's easy and intuitive to shoot. I look forward to shooting it a lot in the upcoming months. Just wanted to share.
