Hello, I have read this whole posting about the CZ100, it has just been interesting! Most of all thanks to Cyanide for doing all this and sharing it with us.
I saw the 100 once many years ago, but really didn't pay much attention to it. Now, years later, after reading all this, I kind of compare it to the Steyr pistols today. The Steyrs looked much like the original CZ 100, but the current model Steyrs just are much more user friendly.
Point I am getting at, is, that if CZ decided to re introduce the 100, and updated it, such as better grip texture, perhaps improve the trigger, add a rail and easy changeable front sight/night sights, It might be well received. But it would be competing against other polymer framed CZ products, which maybe they don't want to do. To me, if they downsized the CZ100 to perhaps a Walther. PPS size with the upgrades, I think it could become CZ's venture into the sub compact markets , excluding the Rami.
