I have read all the posts about what a bitch the folding stock screw can be to remove, and I totally agree      been messing with it for a while and it wont budge.  I i am going to buy some of those screwdriver bit sockets.  That screw is just way to shallow and wide to get a good grip with even my biggest screwdriver.  I used the soldering iron on the screw but i don't think i got it hot enough, anyhow...

Maybe you could spray some penetrating oil in there and let it soak in & sit for a while. I prefer PB Blaster.  Not sure about gun parts but it works wonders on automotive fasteners.

Also, I briefly tried taking that screw off when the trigger gremlin struck.  I was not able to get it off but instead I took the grip off and was able to fix the trigger through that opening.

Psy a screwdriver is definitively not the way to go. What I did was use a punch and gave it a good tap. It loosened right up.

I heated the screw with a hair dryer and then used the biggest screw driver I could find with a vise grips attached to the screw driver at a 90 degree angle. I had my wife turn the screw driver via the vise grips while I put downward pressure on it

I finally got it   

I ground down an old 3/4 inch spade bit to fit the slot of the screw perfectly, let liquid wrench sit in there for 30 minutes or so and then then heated it with my gigantic soldering iron.  After a few seconds thinking it wasn't going to work again it finally broke free, I did not see any loctite on the threads.  I am now 100% beaver barf!
