Here is an update on where mine is now, only changes still to be made are the bolt release, and some type of fiber optic/iron hybrid sight would be nice :D Current modifications: Fixed bakelite stock, knurled compensator, chrome gas piston, and Zendl mag release. Simple but handy

Very nice.
Can you explain:
-The para cord knot type and what that piece is inside the buttstock (paracord tie-off)
- what the grip is in pic 1
- what the grip is in pic 2/3
- what the bottom rails attachments are pic 2/3?

Very nice.

Thanks!  I believe the knot is called a cobra stitch, in all honesty this is the first thing I've ever paracorded so don't hold me to that.  It really breaks up the sharp edge of that stock.  The piece woven in is a shackle.  Like I said, this was my first paracording experience and while perusing the cord site I came across this shackle and thought that it would make a good clip point for a sling - and it does.  Took a couple of tries to figure out how I liked it placed, but I'm happy with it.  I started the paracord at the toe of the stock and worked towards the receiver, thinking it would give the shackle more strength by keeping that side of the wrap tighter - so far so good.  Both grips are utilizing the Ace AR to AK grip adapter.  One wears a Larue APEG and the other an Umbrella grip, both originally for an AR.  I fit the adapters to the rifles first, then fit the AR grips to the adapter.  They are both tight and secure, but I'm thinking about using some bedding compound to clean up the gaps around the VZ's grip retaining ring.  The rails came out of a box of rails I have acculated from various AR builds.  They were polymer and therefore easily shaped to fit the contours of the handguard.  Pretty sure the extended rail on the side came from a Magpul MOE light kit.

Great job all around.  Very unique and clean look with function. Thanks for sharing.

But is lower than Kinggun dustcover rail  :o

Where are people sourcing the NEA upper?

Nice camo color blend and scope set up.  Interesting angled front grip too.
Good job.

The camo paint is Aervoe , i just sprayed freehand. The forward grip is made by Stark.  I slit  a piece of clear tubing  and pushed it over the stock and then wrapped it with camo fabric tape.  I used a Simmons pistol scope with a 20" eye relief.

Updated pics... Fixed and accessorized vz2008 with mag wedge top rail, Czechpoint polymer Handgaurds (bottom stuffed with aluminum foil), King TBR and TMR (both working well no wiggle/ hang up), Fab stock with riser from Zahal (perfect cheek weld height for scope), Primary Arms 1x6, Zendl brake. Hours of Dremel action to get this CAI VzPOS to work correctly. Works very well now, even with Magwedge rail.
