Froggy -- where are you located?  That desert camo in the background looks slovakian, but the woodland looks polish.

And do all of your guns have the open eared front sights instead of the hooded?  Most of the latest CSA production I've seen here have the trigger guard with the single loop, unprotected mag release, and the hooded front sight; neither of which I prefer.

The pic was taken in the Czech Rep but the camo is French.
Those Vz are my friend's who I organise shooting W-E with.  It is a mixed bag of hooded and semi hooded Mdls & I never paid too much attention to it to be fair . I try to take classes with as many different mdls as possible , ie : AK, Vz, mini beryl.  My own rifle there is a M92 & only bought one of those Vz recently.

Very cool.  Can see that the desert is probably the French Desert/Daguet camo.  That woodland doesn't look right for me for French (too soft of corners and coloring read Polish Pantera), but no doubt you have a better eye and more knowledge than me and it could just be the pic softening the edges in lower resolution and obviously indoor lighting.

M92s are nice -- have one of my own.  Definitely recommend the 4 piece bulgarian/krink brake though.  A little heavy, but makes a world of difference.

Thanks for sharing.

My recently acquired VZ2008.

Was impressed by how well it shot in comparison to my Arsenal so I decided make it my own by changing a few things up

NOS fixed stock
TBR
Ambi mag release
"T" front sling loop
railed upper hand guard
ambi safety, not installed yet but I have already machined the receiver for it
Mantis brake
Bipod from RSR
Mojo rear peep sight
Aimpoint Pro in a Burris extreme 30mm low ring

Acquired some new goggles and gloves for an extreme discount from Botach. Pleasantly surprised with how great the gloves work for shooting.

My first post but I had to tell you Gary that with my first 2008 on the way I plan to model it after this one.  So clean, nothing unnecessary, just a updated deadly looking version of the original.  Nice Kowa as well, a man with very good tastes.

I will likely have to add an optic though...

Finally took some pictures of the VZ58 family.  They all started out as pistols.

Nice.  Surprised you went with 2 556 VZ rifles, instead of the Bren. ... Or perhaps you have a Bren as well. Nice set ups and buttstocks.

How you like the Lucid Red dot? I'm using it on a Saiga12 for 3gun right now, and the dot is a bit tight (MOA).

The post above is opinion, and I am probably totally wrong, so please pardon me if I offend anyone in any way. I am speaking only for myself and just sharing my thoughts, not trying to start an argument with anyone, and if you disagree with anything I have said, I concede your correct.

I got the longer barrel 5.56 first, because I wanted a VZ SBR, and that's what they had in stock at the time.  Then I had so much fun with it that when the compacts were in stock I had to get the 7.62, well, because, flamethrower.  That one was great fun, and since I was a big fan of Strikeback, I wanted a 5.56 as well.

I like the 5.56 guns because I shot a lot of 2-gun usually with AR pattern rifles and I liked that I can use the same magazine and ammo.  I reload 5.56 but not 7.62 so I can shoot them a lot more.

I like the idea of the lucid on a Saiga 12, just might try that.

I tried the Lucid because of the circle dot reticle.  I normally use Eotechs, but they are too heavy and bulky for the VZ.  I agree that the circle is too small and it makes hitting smaller targets out past 150 yards a challenge since the reticle covers so much area.

I tend to set up all my rifles with similar optics, makes for easier transition between types if they all have the same sight picture.
I have a couple other dot sights on order and hope to try them out soon.

I was inspired by someone on a different forum who chopped down a 16" VZ2008 to 10".

Swapped the furniture between my competition gun and the 5.56mm SBR.

From this.

And this.

To this.

And this.

HM -- very nice collection there.

Would appreciate your thoughts on the railed top cover vs the side rail!
