Used CZ 75B
« on: November 23, 2014, 12:40:13 AM »
I went to a Gun Show this morning and found that a Dealer had a used black CZ 75B for sale. The price tag on the CZ was $445.00. Except for a very small scratch by the ejection port, it looked like new. After talking to the Dealer a little longer, he said he would take $400 cash for it plus tax. That seems like a good price. What do you think?

What year-mark was on the slide?  If in the market for 'another' 75B,  I'd buy it if it looks as you describe.

If I had the money I would not have hesitated.  That's a very good price.

I didn't look for the year mark, since I didn't know where to look. Thanks to this forum, I found out where to look for the year mark last night. I would have the thought this CZ was new, except for the scratch. The scratch is is only an 1/8 of an inch long and may be the thickness of a knife blade, but it did go through the black finish. You can see the shine of the metal through the scratch. They said that they had the case, both 16 round magazines, and everything else that would come with a new CZ.

Buy it.  A touch of instant blue or black epoxy paint will make the shiny scratch disappear.

Congrats! Don't think you can go wrong with that price in the condition described. Let us know how it shoots.

I picked up the CZ 75B this morning. It was better than I had hoped. The CZ was made in 2013 and had no blemishes on it, except the small scratch by the ejection port. I'll try to get some pictures of it and a range report as soon as I get time to try it out.
I would have gotten more information on the CZ sooner, but the Dealer lives about 4 hours away from me. I lucked out since he was going to be at another gun show this weekend that was only an hour away from me.

Good to hear. Can't wait to hear the range report. Sounds like you got a great pistol at a great price.
