« on: December 11, 2014, 12:19:56 AM »
I see them listed as 4.5, 4.6 and 4.7 barrel length, but there is no number designation to tell which length it is I cant find any thing on the cz website talking about barrel length. any clarification on this for me?

Probably whoever types up the web advertisement got it wrong. When looking online I notice a lot of wrong descriptions and pictures. About the only thing that's accurate is the Sku #. Then cross reference that with CZ USA  website to make sure it's the correct pistol in the ad.

As far as i know the CZ75B Stainless model has the same barrel as any of the CZ75B variants. The stainless model dose come with ambi safetys, unlike many of the 75B's.

CZ 75 Barrel 9mm 4.70" Standard. Barrel Muzzle Diameter (0.502").

Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)

Curious, as I'm new to CZ's myself.  What exactly is the difference between an ambi safey 75B and an 85B?

The 85B and 85 Combat come with ambi slide release as well as ambi safetys.

It would be useful if we all just used the metric measurement system.  Series 75/85 and SP-01 full size pistols all have barrel lengths of 114MM.  I suspect the variations you quote are due to rounding when folks convert Metric measurements to English Standard.  I know there are pistols made for Australia and Turkey with slightly longer barrel lengths to conform to local gun laws but I doubt that is what you are referencing.

I will never understand how someone can find the dumb, illogical nonsense called the US standard measurement system to be better than the metric system.

To my knowledge there are only two countries in the world left using the English Standard - the US and Liberia,  Everyone else uses the metric system.  To be fair the US Auto Industry, Medical Profession and Military are all on the Metric System and have been for years.

I had to convert.  My oldest son went through school using both and my youngest would npt know a foot from a yard or fence (LOL) for that matter.  The youngest went through school year 1 - varsity using metric.

I speak temperature in Celsius but know 90 above is a hot day.  I buy my gas by the litre but think in miles per gallon and use metric tools but think in inches.  Oddly enough when it comes to driving distances I speak in time as in hours from here, speak in kilometers and think in miles.  I am also 70 and the problem will solve itself in a few years.   O0

Take care

Bob

Some have said that the 75B Stainless SHOULD really be an 85B Stainless because of the Ambi Safeties
BUT, the 85B has an "O" Mag Release and a Flat Beavertail !
The only Ambi Safeties 75B, with a "D" Mag Release and the Extended Beavertail, is the B-SA (Single Action)
SO....with that....the 75 Stainless could be.....A DA/SA 75B-SA Stainless   :o
SO....which is it really ? ? ?    :o
So tell me again how Trump was worse then the 8 years before .... AND what's coming after HIM !

CZ naming has always been a bit confusing, and very long in some cases (Example: CZ 75 SP-01 Tactical 9mm).

The SP-01 has ambi safetys as well and they call it a 75.

One correction, the CZ 85B has the "D" (reversible) mag release like an SP-01. At least mine dose. The 85 Combat has the "D" mag release as well.

Not all have either I guess:

^^Interesting, great pics too. Thanks Den. They look a little older (hammer), i wonder what year they changed the mag release to reversible. Strange they were ever that way with the ambi safety and slide release.

Ill get some reference pics or my 85B and 85 Combat once i get my 85B back together, working on the Pro Package parts install atm. Going well so far, hammer pins came rite out with one good smack on a starter punch. CZC bench block is earning its keep!
