Eagerly Awaiting my CZ-75 Compact
« on: December 12, 2014, 06:28:55 PM »
I went ahead and ordered the CZ-75 Compact, steel frame w/manual safety from Kentucky Gun Co. for $492 shipped with insurance. After paying a transfer fee of $30 and the $10 Background check the total hit to me is $532. Now I must play the waiting game.

In the meantime, I will order an IWB holster specifically made for this model from UGB Holsters, which is exactly the type I was looking for. Thanks to the CZ members here for recommending and sharing their CZ/UGB Photos.

I will update when I have it in hand or if any problems arise.

Another Kentuckian CZ owner!
I also have a CZ75 compact. Purchased as my first handgun.

Only difference from picture now is that I have a low rise competition hammer.

Great choice, I recently bought one myself.  I like it so much that I was "forced" to go out and buy its full-sized big brother. You mention the waiting game, are you in CA? Don't fret b/c after the new year no more 10 day wait, we'll be able to take our toys home the same day like people that live across the border in America.

No, I'm in WI. I still have to wait for it to be shipped, then wait the 48 hrs once it arrives at MY FFL dealer.

I'm curious. When you get it, can you please let me know what year it was made in and whether or not the barrel is blackened, or bare like the one in the picture above? Mine is a 2014 and has a blackened barrel. I know that CZ has blackened their barrels in the past, just wondering if it's something that they are doing again, or if it's random.

Where in Wi. are you?  I am a few clicks south of Waukesha..
May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?

I have CDO. It's actually OCD but I put them in order like they should be!

I'm in southeast WI, not too far from you. Are you going to the gun show in Waukesha this weekend?

I'll let you know. I'd rather have the barrel like in JackOfLittle's photo then a blackened one, but as long as it's accurate I'll be happy.

Nice! Thanks for sharing. Mine will be my primary carry gun, so the only changes I might make would be with the grips or sights, nothing that would alter it too much.

Just got the confirmation email that my CZ-75 Compact has shipped from Kentucky Gun Co. It should arrive at my FFL within 2 days, then after the paperwork is completed, I got to wait another 2 days before I take possession.

My CZ-75 Compact came in. I went over to the FFL dealer to check it over and do the paper work. It was beautiful, even with the protective oil all over it! Felt great in the hand too, like I knew it would. Also, it turns out the fee was $10 less then I had thought.

I will be picking it up tomorrow afternoon. I also got a $100 gift card from my company for Walmart with which I promptly bought  400 rounds of 9mm target ammo and a box of Federal 135gr. Hydra-Shok which I will test as a SD ammo option.
