75 SA .40 conversion to 9mm?

I just picked up an SA .40 with an amazing trigger. I'm wondering about the possibility of converting it to 9mm using a Shadow barrel. I understand that the 9mm Shadow barrels are the same O.D. on the end as the .40 barrels.
I'm assuming I can't just drop the entire 9mm Shadow slide on the SA frame due to the FPB on the SA. Is this correct?

The Breach Face of the 40 cal Slide is the wrong size for 9mm Rounds
Given that, the Extractor may not extract the Fired Cases
And I'm not sure the Ejector is in the proper alignment to eject the Extracted Cases
BUT, I would guess it's worth a try

The Shadow upper should fit on the SA frame. Trying to put the .40 upper on the Shadow frame is where the FPB will come into the picture, The Shadow doesn't have a lifter for the FPB.

Negative...the SA slide has a cut-out in the rear to clear the FPB lifter arm. The Shadow slide won't go on the SA frame any further than the lifter arm.
