Well, this makes me want to invest in a 3D printer. Nice work, they look darn good.

Tok, I just made (printed) some parts for my 550b last night. I will post later today. I also am working on a speed loader and mag pouches. I have already used the 550b parts yesterday during a reloading session. I love them.

I am waiting on my black and olive-drab green ABSplus spools to re-print the grips. Should be here next week.

Those things sure are versatile.  When you get your 550 parts done post some pics if you can.

This chain is fascinating. It doesn't sound like there is anyone focused on printing grips- plastic, metal or whatever. Perhaps this becomes a new "hobby" if there would be enough gun owners interested in the product. Anyone have 3d printer knowledge enough to identify units worthy of review?

I would say I do, what is your budget? Also, I have another thread in Ammo and handloading if you want to look.

Burlycz- If I can ask, how did you get the model for the grips? A laser scanner of your existing grips, or ?? Any chance to get models of grips from other pistols, such as the P-07?

I found the model on thingiverse. I am hoping to get the original files from the author so I can modify them. If I am lazy and don't want to design a part myself, I typically search on yeggi and grabcad.

Hi All,

I am the original author of the file which is posted to my blog http://www.printedfirearm.com.  burlycz what printer are you using?  Mine fit 100% perfect without any modifications so I'm curious if you had warping or if you could explain where the screwhole is off?  Also for those who like the design and want to try a set you can pick them up on my shapeway store if you don't have a 3d printer.  https://www.shapeways.com/product/2JX95CHCR/cz-75-grips

Printedfirearm,
I am using  Stratasys uPrint Se Plus. So far everything I have printed has been very tight in tolerance. There is another forum member who used your model and had the same issue as I did.  If you could provide the original files maybe we can make it work. More than happy to give you all my files as well.

The more the community collaborates the better for all.

Cheers,
Burly

Awesome, thanks PF! I will figure this out, and print them up to verify. My new spools of ABS come thursday (white, ivory, black and olive green). Once I make sure the modified file works for us, I will send it to you.

Thanks for your help!
