Steel targets and grip tape
« on: June 01, 2006, 07:42:31 PM »
At a qualifier I had a bit of trouble getting one of the steel targets to go down (I do know that a better shot on them helps more than ammo), but I was wondering if a 124gr load would help for those times I get a semi-crappy hit on the steel?  I have been using WWB 115gr rounds since Wally World was the only close place to buy ammo the day I went to my first qualifier.  Any differences in recoil for the two rounds?  I've never shot any 9mm besides the 115gr.  Oh, and did someone ever check on the legality of putting grip tape on the front and/or backstap of the gun in production USPSA?  Thanks.

Grip tape is allowed, don't worry.
I am shooting 124 gr reloads and just recently had to shoot twice to drop that popper. So as you said shot placement is the key

Omega,

Since I bought the gun from you, can I blame my lack of decent placement on you? :lol

Yup, I was the local guy from Faribault that bought it from you about a month an a half ago.  I finally got to the range to shoot it.  Completely satisfied with the sale.   You gonna be at the Faribault shoot this Saturday?  I may attend if I can convince the wifey.

OK. now I know.
I am glad you like it.
I won't be in Fariboult this weekend - last Sunday I was there and pulled my back, wasn't even able to finish the course. Yesterday was 1st time as I was out the house and was driving a car.
So I need some time....:(
