SP-01 Tactical: Why is it Tactical?

Why is it known as Tactical(other than to differentiate it from the safety model)? What makes it more tactical than the safety version?

The only difference between the two is the tactical comes with a decocker and the other comes with ambi-safety. On earlier ones with the 2 rail cut the tactical model came with night sights standard and the other model did not. Mine is a newer three rail cut nontactical model with '06 manufacture date stamp. It came with night sights and I think night sights are now standard on all of them.

I would venture to say the decocker lever was originally (historically) requested by law enforcement as a way to safely (legally defendable) lower the hammer.

Thus, the decocker lever version would be preferred by such professionals making it "tactical".
