wanted: single-point sling, non metallic, for folder
« on: January 03, 2015, 01:47:23 PM »
Ideally I want  adjustable nylon sling that can be hooked on to the folding stock attach point.
Doesn't matter if it's bungee-style or plain.
A metal hook will rattle- I don't want that.
Any ideas ?  Show me pics if you hav'em.

Single points suck.

Single points suck.

+1.  But if that's what you're convinced you need, many single points have swappable connectors and usually come with a cloth loop and HK clip option...

I decided to go with the 2-point arrangement. Thanks for the wakeup!  Part of the reason I was thinking single-point was because I took the ring off the front where the sling would attach... and I don't like the ring so much-- it's a noisemaker.  I think a sling attachment that attaches to a modern sling swivel would work OK there, and maybe be quieter.

Saw your Galil mention in another thread.  Smart man.

Regardless, look at the Israeli methods for sling attachment.  Paracord loops on metal connections that you then fasten your sling into...  They have metal clips, but not required.
