Things being what they are in a normal life, I hadn't gotten to shoot much, just a bit at lunch and a bit after work, until today. I've been reading Brian Enos' awesome (to me, anyways) "Practical Shooting: Beyond Fundamentals" and Friday night spent some time in the bedroom with some snap caps "watching" myself shoot, SA and DA, after decocking.
The first pistol I had practiced with, the ranges ratty 4-year old 75BD, liked my fingertip best, but my SP-01 was pulling way left and down. With the snap caps, the rotation was clear as a bell! I finally found the spot just before the knuckle "groove" was the most neutral.
This morning, at the range, unless I was being outright careless, I couldn't make my baby shoot outside the bullseye on the "standard FBI" target provided until about 15 yards! I'm a happy camper!
~300 rds and plugging away! My local USPSA group, Brazosland Pistoleros, meets June 4, and I'm gonna be there!
What a cool hobby!
Bill
(Can you tell I'm happy? lol!)
