If you get a 452 you can lighten the trigger very well with a cheap hardware store spring, and with some simple shims can remove as much creep as is safe, and have nearly the same thing. I have a 452 Style (nickel plate with synthetic stock) that has such a light trigger I wouldn't hunt with it unless I tightened it up again. It drills dime size holes at 50 years and quarter size holes at 100, so I'm very happy with it. Cost me $1.47 for the lighter spring if I recall, and the rest is ordinary CZ magic!
I also have a 550 American in .270 that has the set trigger, and I do like the choice between them. Wish the 550 were as accurate as the 452, but some of that is me I'm sure. Only getting 3" at 100yds.
Be warned, CZs are very easy to appreciate, very high value, very high performing firearms, and at reasonable cost to boot, but don't tell anyone, they are growing in popularity and price so SHHHHHH!
Rimfire Central forum has an extremely fine CZ subforum with really great members, but be careful of the enabling effect!
Oh, every once in a while 453s show up on forums and in out of the way gun shops. I'm still hoping to find one, though I'm not actively seeking one. It won't escape me if I do spot one though!
