Coming with fewer accessories now, but still a good deal!  :)

I am very interested in how many vz2008s exist. And how long they will be produced

I see the same rifle often listed for $1100+ elsewhere.  This recurring PSA deal is like the endless enigma.

..and here I am already slobbering at this one, which will probably go north of $1000 -- perhaps $1500 -- before the end.  http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=464090164

Thank you for your interest. I can only advise that we have a few thousand left in existence to sell.

What is the difference between the rifle CitizenPete showed above and this?
http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=464158912
which has been lowered and listed for months....also has some exra's. I thought the Dtechnics were like the old Czechpoints.

That d-technic is awesome. It is a czechpoint rifle. The extras there add up to real cash, with the optics rail, solid stock, and everything.
The difference is the d-technic is a superior rifle, it's up to you to decide if it's 1000 dollars worth of superior.
I have A very low serial number D-technic that I love, now that I have the vz2008 on the way I will be able to compare side by side.

Unless you get a rifle with a specific problem, or a real lemon, I believe you might be very impressed.  While the fit, finish, and material details (like chrome lined barrel, piston, etc.) are not at the same level, for $400 it's still a VZ.58 at its core. For about the price of one CSA, you can get 3 VZ2008s and drag one of them around behind your car or truck.

That D-Technic would make a really nice addition to my collection - too bad for me its such a long auction -- the price will probably double.  IMO the Czechpoint rifles esp, the older D-Technics, are truer to the original VZ.58 than most other variants.  While the new Czechpoints VZ.58 Classic Sporters are sweet and they still have new chrome lined barrels, the older D-Technics will still hold value with collectors as one of the original variants.  Having said that I believe the OOW VZ2000 semi-auto only variant (with drastically modified receiver) was the first VZ.58 design to get BATF approval in the US -- but I could likely be wrong about that.

Listen to the little demon on your shoulder...  "You know you will regret it if you don't get another one at this ridiculous price.   Wahh ha ha ha!"

Wait!  That's the demon on my shoulder saying that to me!

Can you hear that range banter off in the not too distant future?

"Heck!, I remember back when you could get VZ.58s for under $400 each!  I'm not making that up."

Response: "Yeah, right."
