941 left. So tempting to order another.

Listen to the little demon on your shoulder...  "You know you will regret it if you don't get another one at this ridiculous price.   Wahh ha ha ha!"

Wait!  That's the demon on my shoulder saying that to me!

I bought my first a few months ago when they came with 5 mags and bayonet, and I have put around 500 flawless rounds down the tube. I ordered another last week when they were available for just a few hours one morning. I really don't think you can go wrong with this price.

Can you hear that range banter off in the not too distant future?

"Heck!, I remember back when you could get VZ.58s for under $400 each!  I'm not making that up."

Response: "Yeah, right."

Yep, it will be just how I feel about not buying more SKS's back in the day when they were $79,$89,$99 at nearly every gun show.

For about the price of one CSA, you can get 3 VZ2008s and drag one of them around behind your car or truck.

Epic quote.

Am I correct in my understanding that century is no longer producing these? I wonder how many they pumped out.

lol REALLY? You don't say....

BTW I read somewhere that these rifles may had been set aside for the Canadian market, which makes sense considering VZ58 popularity there, and for whatever reason are being dumped quick in the US. IDK I'm sure somebody else here has more info on that.

Allow me to credit that info to member RSR on another thread

1. They were on "clearance" at PSA...

2. Back in June of last year I emailed Century inquiring about the number of VZ2008s produced and was told and I quote:

Thank you for your interest. I can only advise that we have a few thousand left in existence to sell.

Kind regards,
NAME REDACTED
Marketing
Century International Arms, Inc.

3. JG Sales fixed stock listings (they don't list folding) says they're no longer made.

4. No one has them in stock per slickguns (might find a vendor somewhere that has them -- they're still $500 or so on Gunbroker): http://www.slickguns.com/search/apachesolr_search/vz2008?op=  (Click on each listing and scroll down to see in stock status and price comparisons)

5. The VZ2008 is now being sold in Canada as a non-restricted rifle w/ chrome barrel (Canada gets a lot of corrosive ammo as they don't have the steel core and accordingly get cheaper surplus) for 2x the cost of the VZ2008 here: http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php/1001746-VZ58-CZ-858-non-restricted-Pre-order-westrifle-com

Actually read through that CGN thread a little further.  It was unclear if any were able to make it through their customs/RMP review, so it's possible the Palmetto clearance was just what Century had been holding for the Canadian market and wanted to get rid of ASAP?

Very interesting. thanks!

Wow, thats really interesting about the Canadian market.  Government creates moral hazard and US buyers benefit.

I couldn't resist!  Da-hamit.    :o   The price is too low not to buy more.

Century VZ Potato Chips ... bet you can't eat just one.
Bought a few more ... need a long drag chain now to attach to the back of the wagon.

I already have three and believe it or not thinking about buying another.  I put regular stocks on two of them and the folder has been complaining of being the red headed step child
