A functional set up for my Vz2008
« on: January 31, 2015, 09:10:00 PM »
I am putting together a functional pistol belt to accommodate my new rifle.  I have a pistol belt, dual pistol pouches,  and canteen. I ordered dual rifle pouches and a mid size universal pouch.  I plan to use this setup for the range, and a layer for shtf.  My budget is tight, and I am using Voodoo products.

For about $20 shipped on ebay you can get a type 81 chest rig that holds 4 vz magazines and two pouches for "grenade" sized items. Great quality for cheap and will take a lot of weight off your belt

Thanks,  but I'm going to avoid chest rigs because I can see problems with shooting in prone.

Quick vid on prone mag loads from chest rig. http://youtu.be/mLPSGC03WPY

My belt chest rig/plate carrier: http://vz59.blogspot.com/2014/06/two-different-load-outs-for-vz58-drills.html

Done prone drills in these. Albeit, it gets really hot in the summer, esp. with plates.
