P-09 Durability - Will It Hold Up?

CGW built a P-09 for professional shooter Mike Pannone about a year ago.  In case you are not familiar with Mike, he trains Law Enforcement, FBI, and many others.  He can have any sidearm he wants from anyone, for free.  Everyone wants Mike to use their pistol. 

Mike sent us his stock P-09 for a Pro-Grade package and it has become his main running and training weapon.  It has fired many tens of thousands of rounds and Mike says the trigger pulls are still the same.  Not one broken or worn out part.  So the P-09 is one tough CZ.   

What is the build list on this gun so I buy your parts and replicate it?

I like seeing wear on pistols just like Mike's. To me, it signifies the owner trusts it to do the job, do it well and often.

My main training pistol has 5802 rounds through it and still looks brand new.  I cant get the pistol to show any real holster wear except on the dustcover.  The nice thing about this is that the melonite finish remains intact because of the recessed slide.

I REALLY like this pistol design, so much so that i sold my metal framed CZ's and now use this one exclusively for competition.

That P-09 nhas serious character, definately a working gun, great picture. My P-01 kinda looks like that. 

i haven't noticed and wear on my P-09 riding every day in my High Noon bison hide Slide Guard, but it might just be hiding it from me. Nice to see how tough the gun really is.

What sights does Pannone have on that P-09? Are they Cajun or Dawson?

Those sights were purchased from, and installed by CGW.  CGW worked with Dawson to make the first aftermarket sight sets for the P-09.  They work well.

They have a great sight picture, and are the tightest fitting sights I have ever put on a gun. Amazing how well they are machined.

Which is why I asked initially about the sights, but no reply.

The front is either exceptionally well worn, or has been cut to remove the sharp edges. I would guess the latter.

I wish we had a better pic of the profile so it could be duped!

My next pistol will either be a FDE p-09 or a sp-01 tactical.
