~$200-250 for surplus unissued.  Knock off $50 for used.  Maybe a little less if you get it from Europe.

They're pretty rare.  Rapid fire overheats and cracks the top wood handguard...

So, in your opinion would it be worth the money.

Centerfire Sys has a VZ parts kit with all wood furniture for $300.  Guessing it is in at least good condition, it may be cheaper to buy it for the furniture and get the spare parts.

For furniture, you're ahead to buy furniture over kits.  The used wood stuff I've seen is in very rough condition as is the stock hardware (the stock plates and whatnot are thinner aluminum than the magazines)...

For casual plinking or occasional plinking you're probably going to be fine as well as for a safe queen or display gun.  For rapid fire and/or full auto, the wood won't work out on the upper foregrip...

The most reliable route for partial wood is a wood stock and lower handguard plus an NEA upper handguard rail.  You could also do their lower too and just the stock in wood.  Aesthetically, that looks good as well.  But I do definitely prefer the NEA upper rail on its own vs bonesteel's...

Thanks for that tip!  So you get the wood and some spare parts to keep or offer for sale.

After seeing those 4 beautiful VZ.58s with wood furniture that sold off of Checkpoints website, I couldn't resist finding a new set of furniture for one of the OOW VZ200s in the collection.  https://www.czechpoint-usa.com/vz-58-military-classic-87?l=1 I got wood from the wood.  ;D

I'll post some before and after pics if it turns out.

So, I was recently lucky enough to snatch a nice set of Beechwood furniture in decent condition and with a nice patina off eBay from someone in the Czech Republic.
