CZ Pistol Stand By 75Plus
« on: March 11, 2015, 10:17:26 PM »
Hi, Shooters...

While rootn' around this forum I happened to stumble onto a thread that detailed a very simple, well thought out pistol stand -- looked to be the cats meow.  And it is!  Just received a couple from Joe(75Plus).  I'm thrilled!  Very simple assembly -- even I managed!  They are going to work extremely well for cleaning and light duty 'smithing.  I'm sure I'll find other uses for the stands -- I guess maybe I already have, as indicated by the images -- great pistol stands when they aren't secured behind a steel door.

If you haven't seen these on a thread from last year sometime, don't recall the date, and if you would like this very nice tool -- get in touch with 75Plus, I'm sure he'll be able to help.

After assembling mine, I immediately sprayed them with Clear Krylon to help keep the oil and such from leaching into the wood too badly.

Gt

When I figure out how to get the images inserted -- I'll post again.  Frankly, I don't think this forum works well with Opera, in particular in posting images.  When trying to insert an image it simply says a bunch of gibberish.

Note: OP copy the "IMG" code from Photo bucket (it is on the top right of the photobucket UI) and paste it into your post of each picture. This will make the pictures to show up in your post. Nice pisc btw.  :)

Tok36... Thanks for the note.  Yup, tried that about 10 times!  I can copy/paste into any other application other than "Opera".  When copying a URL or link it can be pasted into any program being used but the choice of "Paste" doesn't present via the RMB when reading this forum, when in Opera.  I apologize for the inconvenience.

75Plus is the guy I want to be like when I grow up.  He is an engineer's engineer.

Thanks Greg for starting this thread, I have been looking for something like this for some time. I received two in today's mail and the workmanship is great. Thank you Joe.

So, how does one acquire one of these?

I'm suspicious when something's that easy.

I hear ya. I am suspicious of everyone, unless they own a CZ. 75Plus owns a CZ.   8)

These look pretty sweet. Two questions though, do they work with the P-07/9 pistols? and is the metal block in the middle to secure the slide?

Yes, the stand works with the CZ P-series and the 75's. The aluminum block can be used to secure a CZ frame flipped up side down for hammer spring changes and such. Once in place the frame can be secured with the pistols slide stop.

Here are some reference pics.

Sent a PM to Joe (75Plus). :)

BTW Tok, your P-09 has a 5 o'clock shadow in that pic. But seriously, what are those on the picatinny rail slots?

I was messing around and stippled some Larue index clips. I just put them on there for fun and left them on. For some reason i find a bearded CZ amusing.
