CZ 75B rubber grips ?
« on: March 19, 2015, 08:44:09 AM »
I'm thinking about getting a pair of the factory rubber grips for my 75B. The stock plastic ones fit great in my hands, but I've read a few reviews that say the rubber ones are thicker . Can anyone back up this claim ? If you have a rubber set are they as great as they say and "way better" than the stock plastic grips ? -thanks

I use the stock rubber grips on my SP-01 Shadow.   I have big mitts.   I like the palm swell and the grippiness.  If the stock plastic are too small, get the rubber.   I love them.   I'm probably going to adapt some for my Tactical Sport too.
Don't mistake my high post count for knowledge or wisdom.   I just like hearing myself type.

Rubber grips are thicker and have a 'fuller' feel... on ALL my CZs.

CZ Custom's website lists the plastic and rubber grips to be nearly identical in overall width.  They could certainly be contoured differently, though, to offer a different feel.

I like both the rubber and plastic grips. I run both on different CZ's. In my opinion the rubber grips feel a bit fuller due to the profile. This may have something to due with the texture of the rubber over the plastic. All in all they are quite similar and two of the best grips available for CZ's.
Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)

The rubber grips from CZ-USA arrived this morning and were on my 75 BD five minutes later. Slightly more contoured than the plastic grips, they are even more comfortable. And they do not produce the cheapish sound the plastic ones do. Whether they remain grippy in hot and humid conditions remains to be seen.

Welcome to the Forum WW
Yes, the CZ Rubber Grips will retain their "grippiness" with most any weather condition
But like Hamfisted, I run Hogues Rap-Arounds on all my Pistiol
So tell me again how Trump was worse then the 8 years before .... AND what's coming after HIM !

The Hogue ones look like they add quite a lot of circumference to the grip.  Are they really as large as they look?  They certainly are popular.

I like the stock rubber grips. I don't know if they are wider than the plastic ones, but I like the way they fill up the palm of my strong hand. I've tried the Hogue wrap around grips, but I didn't like how thin they were and didn't care much for the finger grooves.

i wear extra large gloves and the hogue wrap arounds fit me. had them in a drawer for a long time.just switched  from vz g -10's and i like the stickiness of the rubber better. you may find the factory rubber grips sticky enough.

My BD came with plastic and my P01 came with rubber. In my opinion the rubber looks and feels like the palm swell is more pronounced.
That being said, I love the palm swell of the rubber grips but does anyone know where to find some in g10 or aluminum? Same palm swell but different, material, texture, and color.
