I decided to get to work early and change the sights out. I bought a set of factory night sights from a CZ SP01 off of eBay fairly cheap. The front sight came off mostly easy. Halfway thru it got hard and I noticed it was scraping the front barrel bushing just slightly. I went ahead and knocked it on out, but dinged up the original front sight pretty good. The new sight went in fairly easy with light taps and the roll pin tapped back in just fine. All good on the front. Now, to the rear. It took some pretty hard hammer blows to get it knocked loose, thanks to some kind of glue. I scratched my slide a bit, thanks to my make shift brass punch slipping off a few times. Once off, I cleaned the glue off and noticed I'd have to do some fitting, sanding, on the new rear sight. Didn't take long, and I had the rear sight tapped in place. I'll bore sight it this evening and hopefully shoot it tomorrow. All in all, I'm happy with it and how it turned out. I think the sights will be pretty close to original, but we shall see. Not as easy as Glocks, but not too hard. Hopefully this helps y'all in the future and ask away if you have any questions. Thanks for following.

Looks good. I dinged the slide on my first sight removal as well. The stock rear dose not like to come out.

You got that right Tok. I've change many Glocks and never had issues. I scratched it when I was using too small hammer. Once I got a bigger hammer, 3 hard blows and it was loose. I'm not real worried about it because I want it to be a sleeper. What I mean is look like crap but outrun the nice ones. Kinda like my old Dodge Cummins diesel. Paint faded, looks like an old farm truck but runs a 15 second quarter mile. Haha.

Heh, i hear ya, i do not mind as much when i make the marks, it all part of learning and there not going to stay prefect if your using them anyway. My second sight install went better. A bigger hammer was the answer to my removal issue as well. That and a sturdier vice.

Didn't get a chance to shoot due to heavy rain and such, I don't like getting wet when I shoot, but did put my laser bore sight in it. It looks like I now have a little different sight pic. I won't be able to verify this, actual shooting, for a few days but will update when I do. Another thing that I probably will do is widen the space between the rear sights. It's pretty narrow stock and you don't get much daylight when they're all lined up. I had what is referred to as sight image 3. Basically cover the spot you want to hit. I now have sight image 2, which means POI is slightly above what the front sight is covering. This info is for those that don't know. Not trying to offend anyone. Here's what I have now.

What year is your SP-01, the stock rear sight looks a little different than the ones i have seen?

I have considered widening the notch in the mepro CZ night sights as well. It should be pretty easy with the way the rear notch is cut from the factory. It looks like you only have to widen the back of the notch.

Cool stuff. You got me convinced to start looking for a set of night sights for my T100 and/or my T120.

I don't have an SP01, tho I'd like to. I bought the sights off ebay. The seller said they were less than a year old. They glow good.

Pageram, I don't know if these will fit your guns, but I can get a mic measurement for you if that would help.

Thats rite, my bad. I got my threads mixed up. From the pics the slide really looks like a CZ though. There really is not much of a difference between some of the clones and a CZ. I wish there were some clones on the California roster, maybe one day.

Another nice albeit expensive option for the sights is the CZ Custom/trijicon combat tritium sites.
These are the ones I have used on mine and they are excellent.

Looking forward to reading how the c-100 shoots with the new sights. For anybody curious, I bought a set of walnut grips from Grips4U.net for my c-100. They seem well made. They (obviously) were made for the CZ Compact, and needed a little trimming off the front for a smooth fit. They are also pretty "hand filling", a little thicker than stock rubber grips, even. I like 'em fine though. Also, thanks to terry mc for the definitive "tinker with your c-100 " thread in the sticky section.

Tpepper,
I am also interested in your results most specifically elevation with the new sights.
This could be a lower cost solution for C100 shooters.
It has been documented by myself and others that the elevation of the stock sights is not always correct.
Some of that may depend on the shooter.
Mine was corrected with the CZ Custom sights with a 6.0mm front sight and the tactical tritium rear.

I also had the issue with the front bushing as has others. I took a small file and cleaned up the bushing while the blade was out and touched up with some cold blue, even with the chrome slide it is not noticeable unless you look for it.
It kind of looks like the sight extends forward is all.

SpinyNorman,
I also am a huge fan of the grips4U.net grips.
I have a set on my SA and had a pair for my Stingray I sold, unfortunately I sold them with the gun.
I actually liked them better than the Cocobolo grips I use now on the C100, the shape is slightly better in my opinion.

And your welcome on the thread, I had a lot of fun doing that thread, lot of work but fun all the same.

Alright guys. I got home and decided to run a few mags thru it. Shot 30 rounds at 10 yards offhand. The first few shots I wasn't really concentrating on my front sight. I was mainly trying to see how the sights were doing and it shows. Once I started focusing on the front sight, I got into the zone. The sights are dead on. Put the front sight on the center and squeeze. I still shoot a little left, but that is me. The grips are what I expected and fit/feel great. Trigger just gets better with every shot. So, I'm very, very happy with this gun and, right now, see me holding onto it for a long time. I have less than $500 in it total, upgrades and all. Best money I've spent on a gun to date. I highly recommend TriStar/Canik and will be purchasing more in the future. Thanks for following along and ask any questions you have. I'll do my best to answer them.
