CZ557 in 308?

On the CZ site (http://www.czub.cz/en/Default.aspx) I see the 557 available in both Lux and Carbine versions in .308 Win.  I am not able to fine these on the CZ-USA site -- will they not bring them to the USA?  Or maybe at a later date?

I have in fact 'bothered' to contact CZ-USA, but I've yet to hear back from them, hence my post.

It's always tough telling what CZ_USA will bring in.

It's like the rimfire models that have been discontinued for several years and still end up here in special runs, or stock that isn't selling in Europe.

So I heard back from CZ-USA and the 557 in .308 will not available in the US until late 2016.

I fit makes you feel any better I have it on good authority CZ-USA asked for short action 557's and their request did not quite turn out as hoped.

I would love to have the 557 carbine in .308, the iron sighted version. Ah, maybe someday.

I'm interested in a 30-06 version, but a .308 would be sweet as well.
