Hey all,

So I made a new mag relief scallop version of the left grip. Not sure if I like the looks with it on there but it's growing on me. It does help with the reach to the button. The scallop is more inline with the button than it looks in the pic. Guess the camera angle makes it look a little off.

Picked up some new materials yesterday:  brown canvas micarta and chocolate brown paper micarta. This is how the brown canvas turned out:

Business end

I'm hoping to put some up for sale in the classified section of the site in the next week or two.

I've tried 'em as of this morning and I really, really like them...

Just a tad thicker than the rubber CZ and that is what my long skinny hands/fingers needed.

I'm hoping to have some for sale within the next week or two. Since I only had my gun to test the fit on, I sent a pair to Joe and another shooter to get their input on them. It looks like the tolerances vary a tiny bit from gun to gun. I'm working on a revised version to take that into account as well as a couple of other changes.

Thanks,

Dave

Please let us know. I might be interested if they are thicker than the rubber grips.

I'm definitely interested in some "thicker" grips for my 97B-E.

very nice......Thanks for sharing.... my hands are 'medium sized'...the newer 2013 factory aluminum were the 'savior' for me.

Hey all,

So I've been doing some more experimenting. I tried cutting the checkering grooves with a bigger cutter. This makes the individual checkers smaller and makes for a more aggressive texture. I also tried a new diamond checkering pattern. As far as grippiness I'd say from least to most aggressive:  original checkering-->diamond checkering-->new wider groove checkering. I also changed the angle of the mag scallop to be more inline with the angle of the thumb.

I'm going to send some out tomorrow to test the fit on a few different 97s. If I hear back that the fit is OK now on their guns, I'll be ready to start selling them.

I heard back from one of the people that I sent the latest revisions to and it looks like the fit is OK now with his gun. He sent some pics with them on his 97 and said that it was OK to post them. I blurred out his serial #s because I don't know if he wanted them on there. I should know soon whether the fit on the other set that I sent out is OK.
