I pulled my slide off the P-09 and this is what I saw...

Then I took a q-tip and cleaned it where the stamp might be and found this...

So, I guess mine is "nutty" or "screwed".   :) :)

No, I'm not going to clean it.  Might ruin it.

Joe

Nuts!!

Does it make you want to clean other places just to see if there is anything else there???

The barrel to slide and slide to frame fits are absolutely perfect on this gun.  If I clean it, it might loosen up.   :)

Seriously, this gun is good for 6" five shot groups at 100 yards any day, <4" when I'm having a good day, and that isn't from a Ransom rest.  I don't mess with it much.  10k rounds so far.

My P-07 has some sort of cuniform looking geometric hourglass stamped into the slide. Like two triangles pointing toward each other touching in the middle. It also has the number 1 stamped alongside the figure horizontally.

I suspect ancient alien tech markings  ;D

Darn it, I just knew by the time I got to page 4 of this thread you guys would have found out what these marks are.

Probably each person who assembles them has their own proof mark or something is my guess.

I have three dots unequally apart about as deep as the heart mark and a small box with an X in it lightly marked in the same area if the slide.

Well, I broke down & looked at mine, I have a "X" where the ends have a short perpendicular line forming small "Ts" at each end of the X.

I also wondered about this mark. Anyone have any specifics as to what they mean & the what the differing marks indicate?

It is so hot outside I sat around and cleaned some guns this weekend. I finally looked and was disappointed to only fine a squiggly line.

But then I realized it was something else!

Pretty sure the guy on the assembly line is questioning what this is for to!

I think someone at the factory had some decorative punches that he never used and just handed them out along the assembly line and said, "Here, use these randomly on the slides of the P series pistols, it will drive them nuts on the CZfirearms forum."
