T120 Grip choices
« on: May 14, 2015, 02:17:34 PM »
I am looking to change the grips on my desert tan T120. The VZ line has some cool looking options, but the prices and slight modifications necessary are kind of holding me back (though some pics online of VZ Diamondbacks on a T120 look awesome).

Has anyone tried LOK CZ grips on their clones? They are priced a little cheaper, and they look great. I can't find any examples online of them being installed on T120s, though.

The Hogue G10 Piranhas look great too, but again, that price! Copper gun grips don't do it for me in the looks department, but they are relatively cheap (35 bucks or so).

Any other suggestions?

I too b have been debating on which grips to get, the CZ rubber grips are cheap and feel good. They are lacking in the looks department though. The other option is hogue is okay but price wise I would go with the VZ's. In the end I will get a set of the CZ grips (skate tape or lemon graters) as they look great and also feel good too.  Post pics of your choice either way.

Well, after calling LOK grips, I am going to go ahead and try a set of those. The gentleman I spoke to (Jason, I think?) said that he was not sure they would work on any of the clones. I told him of the slight mod that people do with the VZ grips, and he said if I ordered a set, and determined that I could not mod them to fit, that I could just return them for a full refund (as long as I did not attempt to mod them, of course). So we'll see in a few days when the grips come in. I ordered a set called "grenade", in a black and brown color combo.

In my experience I've had to slightly modify most of the grips for cz75s to fit on my clones. Sometimes it's work on the underside of the panel, sometimes it's as simple as reaming out the screw hole to get them to line up better. I'd bet you can get the lok grips to fit with very little effort.

I have a desert tan shark FC, which is pretty much the same as the t120. I put the coyote brown frag vz grips on it and it really looks good.

Got my grips in today, and I am very happy with them! I had to trim them to fit, just like VZs, but after 5 minutes (if that) with the dremel, the fit is perfect. Bear with me as I try to post pics with my cell phone....

Very nice, those do look good.  The pattern is the same as the VZ grips I got for my Shark FC. I think VZ calls it a frag pattern or something.

Nice, darink300zx....and they are the same pattern (grenade, frag). The grips really upgrade the appearance and functionality over the stock chintzy rubberized plastic ones.....make the pistol look way more valuable than the 319 bucks I paid for it!

Here's my quandry about my T120 Grips.

Bought my T120 used but nice, and it came with some really nice Hakan Grips.  While I love the look of the Wood, they don't really fit the Pistol very well, and my hand to a lesser extent.

I did try some Hogue Cz75 Wrap-Around Finger Groove Grips on it, and while they fit both the Pistol and my hand great, they just are not as aestheticly pleasing as the Hakan Grips.

I'm still thinking about where I want to go with it, grip-wise.  Watching a few Cz75 Grips on ebay.
