OMEGA???
« on: May 20, 2015, 06:26:29 PM »
What's the truth about them? Few years back I was told they're junk/weak, now some have said they are OK. Educate me on them please  :D

The P-07 and P-09 use the Omega trigger system, and these pistols are quite remarkable.  Same Omega trigger system was adapted for the 75B Omega.  I have the P-07 and 75B Omega.  Upside?  Simpler components, easier to work on, supposedly more robust (I read that somewhere, maybe CZ's site).  I haven't had the pleasure of handling a standard 75B, so I can't compare the difference first hand.

Here's one of the threads about the Omega trigger system that has all this info:

I have one and it is, as far as I am concerned much better to work on and much better, out of the box trigger pull.

How do you pull the trigger out?
The CZ catalog says "...without the use of tools".

I have the P07, the P09 and the 75b Omega. Really like them, and no issues.

The omega in the P series have pin that comes right out. The other CZs you need a hammer and punch to get the trigger pin out.

I have the 75B and two P-series the latter two (obviously) have the Omega trigger.

My P-series guns shoot just as well and my P-09 has become my favorite to shoot.  I have done a little light polishing on the omegas.  They are easy to work on.

I'm at 5600 rounds on my Omega and not a sign of abnormal wear. The reset is so close to my SP01 and '75B that I can't tell any difference.

There aren't any durability issues with CZs. They just keep on shooting.

The stock resets between the two trigger systems are similar, but the omega reset can't be quite as short as a standard 75 once they're tuned up (unless you do some serious fab work on the omega's timing). That said, I love the omega trigger in my P-07. Very crisp and light trigger with some CGW parts in it. No complaints from me about the system at all.
