CZ 82 magazine dimensions
« on: May 26, 2015, 12:41:44 AM »
Hey everyone,

I got lucky and got a CZ 82 from AIM surplus the other week but unfortunately, I live in the great state of California (save the groans..I already know...I live here).   I'll be picking up my new (to me) CZ 82 from out of state thanks to my handy dandy 03 FFL, but I need to convert the 12 round magazine to a 10 round magazine to be California legal.

My guess is that I need to fashion a block approximately 1/2 inch tall to block off the two extra rounds.  If anyone has the dimensions of the magazine, it would greatly help.  A picture with a ruler next to the magazine for scale, showing length, width and height would be the most amazing help ever.

Can anyone lend a hand..or picture or three?  Many thanks from Ca!

Not sure if these will help. This is one of my CZ 83 magazines. The tape is in millimetres (the smallest divisions) and the numerals are centimetres (25,4 millimetres equals one inch - or 2,54 centimetres equals one inch).

The thickness is 19 mm, the width is about 26 mm and the height is about 100 mm on the bullet head side and 110 mm on the bullet base side.

Lemming,

That's perfect! From the length I can deduce the spacing by dividing by 12.  Thanks again for all your help!
