The few I checked look pretty worn externally. There seem to be about forty listed there right now: "380",  with "Cal. 9 Browning" on the slides.
A single seller has the vast majority of them. The only drawback for an 83 vs. 82 I can see is that prices for .380 ammo reportedly jumped much higher than 9x18 Mak during the last panic. Despite this, with two Makarovs (B, EG), I recently bought a Russian Mak in .380. Diversity can be good.

A different 83 seller on GB stated that his gun was used by either Israeli police or corrections officers. The Israelis must have confidence in the guns they operate. A recent handgun purchase is the 82 (9x18 Mak.), my first Czech gun.

Hope this helps somebody :) .  Nobody can predict what our extremely power-hungry "Executive Branch" will one day decide to ban.
A stroke of the "pen" is all that any functionaries need.

I picked up a 83 from cdisales on Gunbroker a few months ago and it was in really nice shape.  I scanned over a lot of them to find it.  It cleaned up great and shoots great.

AIM Surplus just imported a TON of them and, as always, sold out quickly.  I would imagine that most of the ones on GunBroker came from AIM in the past few months.

I did the same thing.  It took a lot of searching and time to go through all the offerings, but I finally found a suitable CZ83 that fit my budget.  In my experience, Cole Distr. (cdisales) has always been quite conservative in their grading of firearms listed on GunBroker.  I bought five pistols from them in the last three and one-half years and have always been pleased with what I received.

We bought 4 of them from CDI back when they were $179.95.  Refinished all 4 with Gun Kote and sold 2 of them at $360.00 each. So the 2 we kept cost us about $25.00 each for shipping and refinishing expenses.
