I have been reading a lot of internet posts about the omega trigger system, and it seems a lot of people do not like the omega in the 75. Some have said it is more prone to breakage than the original trigger system in the 75. Is this true? How do you guys feel towards the omega trigger in the cz75? I am willing to spend a bit more on the original, if it means avoiding a possible issue. I want reliability over everything else. Then again, if this is just internet trash I have been reading, then I would have no issue buying an omega, saving the money to buy more magazines. What do you guys think about the omega?

Sounds like Internet trash. I haven't heard of a delude of broken trigger systems in the Omega.
snakeye, no worries, I don't need someone in a leotard. :)

Omega trigger system is supposed to simplify and reduce the number of moving parts. This usually means improving the life of said moving parts. I'm happy with my 75B/O although I cannot personally attest to subjecting it to thousands and thousands of rounds and long-term durability compared to a standard 75B.

The biggest difference is what you plan to do with it. There are a lot of tuning mods you can do to the 75B. Others will correct me, but I believe there's not much you can do to an Omega, other than springs. It's just all in personal choice.

No intention of changing anything.....will probably ocassionally ccw it. That's why I want absolute reliability.

MHO, you can't go wrong with either one then. For what you want to do, I think you answered your question. All firearms can have an issue, but I haven't heard of the Omega having any more than the B.

I have the P-09 and P-07 which are polymer and Omega. Great pistols, accurate, reliable and one can modify them to sweeten them up. If they come out with the decocker for the 75 Omega I might purchase one

My 75B Omega is much better than either of my 2 standard triggers. True there is not much that can be done to an Omega but, there isn't anything needed except to fire it. Anytime I let others shoot my Omega first, then the standard, they always say, "I wish you wouldn't have let me  shoot that one first."

So no mechanical concerns? No one here thinks the omega is less robust in design than the original? That seemed to be the vibe from some threads I read accross the internet. Again, absolute reliability is what I am after.

My wife and I have run 1800 rounds through my Omega and only 1 ammo caused failure to fire.

What number does CZ list the omega under to differentiate it from the regular 75B?

I've had no problems with the P-07 so far; it uses the Omega trigger.  My only concern is that the ejector is different on the 75 Omega.  If you look down the back of the gun there's a trapezoidal cutout just left of the hammer.  It's so the ejector will clear the slide when you take apart the weapon.  On a regular CZ that cutout is filled in by the back of the ejector, but it's just open on the Omega.
I worry that if you're dealing with weather and sand it's a pretty big hole to get stuff caught in.
That said, I've never heard of anyone actually having issues with that, so I could just be paranoid.  I'm curious to see what you think.  Personally I like the upswept beavertail and the lighter trigger the Omega has.

I've had zero issues with my P-07 trigger system. Feels great with some springs and the CGW hammer. It can't be tuned as much as the traditional trigger though, but whether or not that matters is up to you.
